1. The Smile Squad to the Rescue
The New York ad agency Iris knows how to keep the workplace
FUNdamentals firmly in place. Their Smile Squad has its very
own logo, and more importantly, a budget to help maintain
the happiness of their 475 employees. The agency also has a
Sports Squad, which helps keep everyone fit, and a Lash Squad,
which ensures that once in a while folks get together to
enjoy a refreshing beverage.

1. Relevant Humor Helps Avoid a Beauty Pageant Presentation
A “beauty pageant” refers to a presentation that is all style
over substance. It’s about creating the impression that a lot
of great information is being given out when in fact you are
drowning folks in déjà moo (“we’ve heard this bull before”)
with dazzlingly dizzying PowerPoint slides, few relevant
details, and the use of enormously large words that sound
impressive until you actually look them up in a dictionary.
“Just wanted to say “WOW!” Our group has had many speakers over the years, but none the likes of Mike Kerr.”
Richard Dansereau, President, NAPA Autopro BDG
“Michael Kerr is one of the best speakers I have seen. I highly recommend him!”
Veronica D. Bouvier, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Aspen Properties Ltd.
“Mike held the full attention of our senior management team for a full FOUR hour
presentation – no small accomplishment!”
Martine Rothblatt, CEO, United Therapeutics
“Our participants rated you as the speaker with the highest quality and relevance.”
