The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee is a Forbes Four Star, AAA Four Diamond luxury hotel known for its outstanding service and quality. But just because they’re fancy schmancy doesn’t mean they don’t have any fun! In fact, they are famous for a tradition that dates back more than 50 years:The Peabody Duck March. Every day at 11:00 a.m., a family of ducks are led from the roof by the official Peabody Duckmaster, down the elevator, along a red carpet past adoring fans, and into the lobby fountain, where they stay until 5:00 p.m., when the Duckmaster (and yes, that’s his official job title) leads the procession back down the red carpet, up the elevator, and back to their rooftop abode.
