1. Are the Days of the Big Kahuna Over?

Say it isn’t so!! A newspaper article recently suggested
there is a decline in the usage of wacky job titles! What?
How can this be? Although there are some high-profile
exceptions (the billionaire cofounders of Yahoo are still
known as Chief Yahoos), others have shifted back to more
serious titles.

If this is true, then you know what you must do!! Get out
there and start creating those wacky, unique,
attention-grabbing, playful job titles! And if you come
across any off-beat, fun job titles in your travels, please
pass them along to the hump day home office.

2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip

Bring in a cartoonist or caricature artist to draw fun
portraits of your team during your next retreat or
office party. You can then display the artwork on a
wall in your office, or create a fun staff album, or take
the drawings home with you and make nice paper hats.

3. Quote of the Week

“Computers are incredibly fast, accurate and stupid. Human
beings are incredibly slow, inaccurate, and brilliant.
Together they are powerful beyond imagination.” Einstein

4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

The PetCell is a small bone-shaped cellular phone with a
small speaker, that attaches to your dog’s collar. So yes,
you can now phone up Barney from the office to let him
know how things are going, why the boss is driving you
nuts and to check and see if he needs anything picked
up on the way home. Ahhhh, just what we need, another
excuse for people to pick up their cell phones. Woof.
