1. Laughter Turns Chumps into Champs

Even if you’re not a baseball fan, you’re probably aware off
how the Boston Red Sox came from behind to win the
World Series last fall, ending a 673-year winless drought.

But did you also know, that according to Red Sox heavy hitter
Johnny Damon, laughter may have been the secret ingredient
that helped them succeed? Well, you do now. Down in the
series, on the ropes, the team sat down and watched comedian
Craig Shoemaker’s lighten-up therapy and comedy DVD. The
laughter and the lessons imparted in the DVD are credited with
helping the Red Sox team loosen up, lighten up and regain a
sense of fun, right when they needed it the most.
2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip

The next time you or your team is up against the wall, down
3-0 and feeling overly tense, take a cue from the Red Sox
and call a humor time-out. Take two hours to go off site
and watch a funny movie to give everyone a total distraction
and help them loosen up and regain their perspective.
3. Deep Thought of the Week

“The best way to become an old dog is to stop doing new tricks.”
4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

How can you put a price tag on humor? Well, apparently we can.
Comics in New York have formed the New York Comedy Coalition,
and are threatening to go on strike if they do not get a
raise from comedy venues.

Comedians on strike? Well, if nothing else, it will make for
some very funny picket signs. . .

Happy Hump Day one and all!
