All the best to you and your families for a prosperous, healthy and
humour-filled 2003! May the farce be with each and every one of you.

1. Laugh Lab: The Joke is On Us!

There’s nothing like a good joke to help folks laugh there way over the mid-week hump.

Dr. Richard Wiseman, who last year brought us the world-wide Laughter Lab study (which went in search of the world’s funniest joke) is now turning his research attention towards Canada. Yes, this British scientist (with the perfect name to be studying humor) is researching what Canadians find funny, and ultimately hopes to determine what joke is “the funniest joke in Canada.”

Here’s one of the jokes that has been submitted thus far:

A Buddhist walks up to a hot dog vendor and says, “Make me one with everything.”
(cue the snare drum).

2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip Joke of the Week

In the spirit of the Laugh Lab research, try holding your office contest into the funniest work-related joke.

Or, make in a weekly event, and ask employees to bring their latest, clean,
safe joke to the weekly staff meeting, or create a separate Staff Laff coffee break each Hump Day to share the humour.

3. Quote of the Week

“My way of joking is to tell the truth.
It’s the funniest joke in the world.”
George Bernard Shaw
4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

Yes, it has finally happened. Those wonderful favours of ice cream and beer have been at long last united to create, yup, Beer Flavoured Ice Cream.

The Mexican ice cream company also offers up such yummy ice cream flavours as cheese, shrimp, tequila, corn, and avocado.

(Doesn’t it just make your mouth drool?)
