1. What’s Your Humor Profile?

According to Dr. Rod Martin from the University of
Western Ontario, there are four main types of humor
that people practice: social and coping humor are
positive styles of humor, while self-defeating and
sarcastic humor are negative. Naturally, the key to a
healthier and less stressful work life is to make
sure the style of humor you practice is positive –
humor that connects with other people, breaks down
walls between groups and humor that helps people deal
with the challenges of their day to day stressors.

2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip

There is a bus driver in Hawaii famous for handing out
Hawaiian leis to customers that need a little cheering
up. What a great, simple idea: Find something inexpensive
and fun that you can keep close at hand to dispense to
co-workers or customers to help make their day.

3. Quote of the Week

“All generalizations are false!”

4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

A pair of Michigan robbers enter a record store. Whipping
out a gun, one of the robber yells out, “Nobody move!”
When his partner moved, the startled robber shot him.

Happy Hump Day one and all! Keep laughing.
