1. April is Humor Month!

April 1 is April Fool’s Day, but did you also know that the
entire month of April is Humor Month? Of course, if you don’t
want to celebrate Humor Month, April is also Guitar Month and
Home Improvement Month. But wait! There’s More! April 7th is
“No Housework Day,” April 12th is “Big Wind Day,” April 18th
is “Pet Owners Independence Day,” April 23rd – 29th is “Karaoke
Week,” while April 26th is “Hug an Australian Day.”
So please, plan your month accordingly.
2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip

If you’re going to participate in April Fool’s Day, heed
my warnings from long ago, when I reminded hump dayers that
many people have been fired, injured or even killed from
practical jokes gone awry. Some folks, like the employee who
brought laxative-laden brownies to work, only got sued. So
please remember to practice safe humor. Only pull a prank you’d
be willing to pull on yourself. Here are a few safe ones. . .
– page yourself on the intercom, telling yourself that you’ve
just won the day off
– phone up a co-worker, then tell them you’re too busy to talk
and hang up
– don’t turn around in the elevator when you get on board
– bring a few different shirts to work, and change clothes
every hour or so, then deny that anything’s changed
– forward an expensive gift item to: Michael Kerr, 322 Canyon

3. Quote of the Week

“It’s important to take your work seriously, but take yourself
lightly.” Clint “Make-My-Day” Eastwood
4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

Although this sounds like an April Fool’s joke, apparently
it’s true: A man goes down to the employment office at lunch,
only to find it closed, with a sign on the door saying
