1. Laughing for the Health of It

The latest laughter research gives us reason number
(are you keeping track?) 46 to laugh more often:
laughing substantially increases the flow of blood in
our bodies. When you are stressed, blood flow decreases
by as much as 35%, but laughter increases the flow of
blood by 22%! I’m laughing already!

2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip

Take a page from the folks at Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream,
and dole out “Joy Grants” to any department or employee
who has a great idea for increasing the fun factor
in your workplace.

3. Quote of the Week

As seen on a bumper sticker: “Give me coffee and no
one gets hurt!”

4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

Three university students from Cambridge were somewhat
surprised to learn that there academic paper had been
accepted at a scientific conference. They were surprised
because there paper was nothing more than computer-generated
gibberish and nonsensical graphs and charts. (Some food
for thought for your next big business presentation . . .)

Happy Hump Day one and all. May the farce be with you!
