1. Wacky Diseases to Beware of!

A little humor from the archives for this hump day . . .

During the 1920’s, some marketers were rather inventive
with their terminology as they tried to sell their various
remedies to life’s many ailments. Here are a few of the
“diseases” they tried to cure with their products . . .

Bromodosis, which was odor caused by foot perspiration

Homotosis, which was the absence of nice furniture

Accelerator toe, presumably something afflicting motorists

Office hips

Vacation knees

Ashtray breath

Underarm offense

Coalitosis, using coal to heat your home

So folks, if you suffer from any of the above,
please see a doctor immediately.

And if you suffer from a severe case of professionalitism,
remember to watch two videos and call me in the morning.

2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip

Keeping with the creative marketing theme, try developing your
own list workplace “ailments” that might be afflicting you and your
co-workers.

3. Quote of the Week

“If you are going to tell people the truth, you better
make them laugh. Otherwise they’ll kill you.”
George Bernard Shaw

4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

Keeping with the wacky words theme, here are some words that
made it into the last edition of the Oxford English dictionary:

Minging (disgusting)

Bling-bling (done up glitzy, in furs and diamonds)

Khazi (toilet)

Phreaking (hacking into phone systems for free calls)

Botox

And last but not least . . . Viagra

Happy Hump Day everyone! May the farce be with you.
