Yes, it’s official Workplace Wellness Week (and if it’s not in
your neck of the woods, please just play along with the rest of

Here are few things you can do to celebrate/promote/recognize
workplace wellness week:

– Bring in a guest speaker on the topic
– Have a workplace wellness social event
– Start a wellness library in your office
– Create a workplace wellness quiz to educate employees
– Take the gang for a walk through the park
– Take the gang to a movie
– Let everyone off an hour early this week
– Give everyone a day off to help remind them of the
importance of maintain a healthy life balance (you’re liking these ideas more and more, aren’t you?)
– Bring in a humorist or comedian
– Hold a healthy eating potluck luncheon
– Hold an office Olympics
– Walk or bike to work for the rest of the week
– Create a wellness committee/squad/team

Okay, okay, so just do something! At least talk about it at your
staff meeting, check in on how your team is doing in the whole
workplace wellness area and then make a real commitment to do
something about it on an on-going basis.

And remember, one of the top indicators of a truly balanced, sane
and healthy workplaces is, of course, laughter!

Instead of a casual Friday try what one company I know
of that holds a Formal Friday, where everyone dresses
up really nice. (Some of you are thinking, “this doesn’t sound
like fun!” But trust me, it is. Doing ANYTHING different gets
people talking, laughing and engaged!)
