1. Yes, Even Banks Can Be Fun

In an effort to make banking less “boring”, 135 branches of
a Japanese bank are offering built-in slot machines in
their automated tellers. The winnings aren’t enormous –
ranging from having your service fees waived to a whopping
payout of $10.50 (Canadian). It is hoped that the slot
machines will add a little fun to an otherwise mundane
experience, and help the bank keep customers in the process.
Other Japanese banks are also looking for fun and unique
perks for their customers, including aromatherapy, massages
and even bank accounts for the family dog. (Yes, but can the
dog play the slots?)
2. Mike’s Fun At Work Tip: Humor Memory Cards

Here’s the perfect way to add a little fun to your
office – Putting Humor to Work Mem-Cards. 26 pocket-sized
cards with fun, simple ideas on how to grow your sense of
humor. Each card features a new tip on how to feed your
sense of humor, while the back side of the card offers up
a fun quote or example illustrating each humor-building tip.
The cards make a great staff or customer gift item,
meeting ice-breaker or fun addition to your humor first
aid kit. Each deck sells for $9.95 plus GST and $2.00
shipping and handling. Bulk discounts are also
available. Call our office at 1-866-6092640 or drop us
an e-mail at for more information!
3. Quote of the Week

“You’re only given a little spark of madness –
you mustn’t lose it! Robin Williams
4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky World

The Living Library in Malmo, Sweden allows patrons to
check out not just boring old books . . .no, at the Living
Library you can actually check out live people. Yes, you
can sign out a Muslim woman, a gypsy, a lesbian or
journalist for a 45 minute conversation in the patio café.
The library hopes that borrowing various people will help
tear down walls and reduce prejudices. (The downside is
that if you are late returning your person, you’ll be
charged with kidnapping.)

Happy Hump Day! Laugh long and prosper.
