2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip
3. Quote of the Week
4. It’s a Wacky, Wacky, World

Hello Humpday readers: Please note that we here at the humble home
office of the Humpday Express will be taking a short hiatus as we
(really just I) wing off for two and half fun-filled weeks of training
in Iran.

The Humpday Express will resume in 2003 (and watch for the film
version To be released sometime the following year!)
1. Happy December! Ha Ha Ha!

Yes, it’s hard to believe, it’s that time of the year again: only 22
days left until we start returning our Christmas gifts and lining up
to buy cheap DVD players. Almost brings a tear to the eye.

Unfortunately, what is supposed to be the most “joyous time of the
year” for the folks who celebrate Christmas seems to have turned into
the “most stressful time of the year” for far too many.

So this Humpday, remember to take the time to slow down during the
next few weeks, breathe (breathing is a really good thing) and put
some Ho Ho Ho back into the season.

I actually met someone who truly does put the Ho Ho Ho back into
December by wearing a set of goofy reindeer antlers on her head
starting December 1st wherever she goes, all the time. The response
she gets and the way the antlers make her feel can’t help but keep her
in a playful frame of mind (of course, the hay bill is a little
expensive . . .)

So it really is the ideal time of year to practice the Three R’s we
talked about oh so many months ago:

1. Reward yourself when you are feeling stressed with some positive

2. Reframe stressful situations to find the humor in them.

3. Relax by taking a humor break.

So Ha Ha! Ha! everyone. All the best until 2003!
2. Mike’s Fun at Work Tip

If you are looking for ways of celebrating and getting everyone
together at your office, consider volunteering for a local charity.
There is no shortage of ways to get involved in the community this
time of year, and volunteering as a team is a great way to build
spirit and incorporate some positive fun into the workplace.
3. Quote of the Week

“You know Christmas shopping has gotten a little too crazy when your
credit card starts to overheat.”
4. Wacky, Wacky World Brawling Santas

The stress of the season has already taken its toll on two shopping
store Santas who definitely forgot the meaning of the season when they
got into a fistfight over their Santa turf.
