The next time you meet with your team ask everyone a simple question: “What’s their favorite TV commercial right now?” or try, “What TV ads stand out in your mind from the last year?”
There’s a ridiculously good chance that most people will recall a funny ad. In fact, I’d predict that at least 80% of your team will mention a humorous ad.
Once you’ve discussed and dissected all the funny ads, pose these simple questions:
“If we remember and enjoy the ads with humor so well, why aren’t we being more creative and using more humor in our presentations and communication with our clients?”
“What’s stopping us from becoming as memorable as those TV ads?”
