Now to be clear, when I talk about bringing your sense of humor to work I am NOT talking about necessarily being funny, being the office joker, or the playing the role of the “class clown.” And I am definitely not talking about telling jokes. I’m talking about being more authentic at work. I’m talking about finding the humor in every day work situations and the ability to laugh at the things you have no control over and the ability to especially laugh at yourself! Is it not a truism after all, that the more seriously a person takes themselves, the less seriously we all tend to take that person?
