One Sign That You Work in a Truly Inspiring Workplace
Everyone wants to work in an inspiring workplace where employees bring their best selves to the office and contribute to a more positive, collaborative, and inspiring workplace environment. (At least I think they do!) Here is one really good sign that you work in an inspiring workplace.
Here’s one sign that you work in a really, really inspiring workplace. In fact, it is literally a sign!
This sign greets employees on the front door as they enter the Indiana University Health Department and the sign reads: Please take responsibility for the energy you bring into this space. Your words matter. Your behaviors matter. Our patients and our teams matter. Take a slow, deep breath and make sure your energy is in check before entering. Thank you.
What a simple but effective way to help set the intention for the day to remind people of your core values, of your cultural norms, or to just be more aware of their behaviors and their attitudes and the energy that they are bringing into your work workplace.
So why not try that in your workplace?
No, of course it’s not going to solve all the problems of the universe. You still have to intentionally work on building a rocking workplace culture, but a sign like this just helps remind people every day to be a little more intentional about how they interact with everyone in your workplace.
