No one likes to have difficult conversations. When faced with a challenging, uncomfortable, awkward conversation most of us would probably rather have a molar extracted by a nervous dentist.
Yet, there’s no getting around the fact that we all have to, from time to time, sit down with a colleague, employee, or boss, and have “the talk.”
Avoiding difficult conversations doesn’t do anyone any good, especially you! Punting conflict or a challenging discussion down the road only leads to more stress and allows the elephant in the room to keep getting fatter by the day.
